So I've figured out how to make "Gift Fleets and Log/Tact structures" like a map where the AI has an empire of 5 planets with labs, hangars, gauss/beam/missile batteries, trade posts, and a total fleet putting it instantly -6 capitals, -480 overall fleet capacity. Yes, the AI starts with 4 battleships, 1 carrier, 1 colony capital and something resembling a mixed fleet of some size.
Now, I need to know how to start the race with certain levels of civ/mil/fleet research completed from the very start of the game for a "mid to late-game" environment or limited research. I'd love to start players, even if only a human and lots of AI opponents, with tier 2 civ completed, tier 4 military completed, and tier 3 capital & tier 4 fleet capacity researched or different levels as I deem necessary.
Also, if anyone at Stardock and address player start points and "additional options" per my post HERE I'd appreciate it. I love the idea of campaign style maps -even if the community has to make them- and really, really, badly need at least player start points otherwise creating more than 1 v 1 (human v AI) maps is a total pain in the brain -although the best campaigns usually involve lots of small, limited 1 v 1 engagements. I'd like to try my hand at making a 3v3 or 4v4 co-op map.
Please, give us a solid campaign editor or at least the options necessary to fake them.
