So I'm just now hearing about Sins of a Solar Empire (I live in the US, so it's been out a while for me), and I'm really excited about it. I want to download the demo ocne I get home tonight, but I'm having a few concerns over the population. I get that there aren't tons of players online at all times (I'm a bit spoiled from Warcraft 3 TFT, yes I still play), but are there enough at peak times (6-12 EST) to get some games going?

Also, I've noticed that there are some clans for the game, but I think that there is no official clan support in the game itself. What's the best way to join one of these clans (the main reason being so I have other people to play with when there are too few random people about)?

And finally, I'm seeing from the Wikipedia entry that it launches in the UK soon- will the US version be able to play with the UK one? Curious for many reasons, but the biggest being that a launch usually brings a lot of new players into a game at once.
