I know I have not modded anything and haven't really added anything to the modding community here but I have to bring this up. I see all these great ideas of mods and even some pictures from said mods but...well, where are they? I check the modding downloads and the same mods are there (not that I mind, the mods that have been uploaded are great, I've used them all...well most of them to great effect)
I believe your looking in the wrong place. I'm betting your going to the downloads section, and looking for mods. Most of the Sins mods incorporate races from shows/movies like Star Trek, Stargate, Battlestar Galctica, Star Wars, etc. Since these movies/shows are copyrighted, they can't be placed in the 'mods' section in the downloads area. The best way to find a mod to download is to look in this section, find one you like, go to its specific thread, and check the original post. There should be a download link. Keep in mind that most of the mods based off of movies/shows are still being made, and are in the early stages.
I would love to add to the community but I know very little about modding (I've got ideas, such as a mod based on the Starfire series of books by David Weber...In Deaths Ground...The Shiva Option and so on) though if someone has any advice/guides/anything to help someone who just hasn't learned how yet, please let me know.
Check some of the guides, there are a lot of them.
Anyway, I'll probably get hate for this but hey, I'm in the military and we're good at dealing with hate. Love to all you modders out there from those of us without the talent to even change the color of the ships.
