I was completly expecting to have some sort of campaign game present and was suprised to see that there was just single player and multiplayer. Did any of you guys miss having one?
I can visualize three different campaigns actually. One with the Vissari trying to desperatly breakthrough the TEC lines as they flee from whatever horrible plot device it is thats chasing them. The campaign could be based around sizeing a handful of critical worlds that will grant them passage onto the next part of there journey. Unfortunatly those worlds happen to be fairly strong TEC planets.
Then there would be the Advent campaign, based around attempting to sieze control of the Advent homeworld. There homeworld would be fairly large and based in an area called the "Fertil Crescent" due to the many terren worlds in the viscinity. It could start with them fighting some weak TEC garrisons and clawing there way across many desert, volcanic and ice worlds that are scarce in resources before a finaly battle that relciams there home region of space.
Then there would be the TEC campaign, starting with a few rebelions that need putting down in TEC space, then a defensive campaign against the Vissari and finally ending with a bloody counter attack against the Advent that resualts in stalemate.
All in all I think the next expansion to SSE or SSE2 are going to see the introduction of whatever is hunting the Vissari.
