I think it is fine how capital's are right now, maybe the one's that broadside could have some lateral movement, like circle strafing around the target. Frigates on the other hand, it would be nice to have some movement with certain frigates, like the main fighting ones, but ones like the long range frigates it makes sense for them to not be flying all over the place. Except for maybe the Illuminator as it has 3 weapons.
