When enemy cultures collide I don't understand how the game determines which culture will win the day and which culture will be repelled.
My experience seems to show that the amount of upgrades invested in culture has nothign to do with this caluculation, and the defender seems to be heavily favored. But I have NOO idea precisely how this important mechanic functions, I can't find accurate any info on it anywhere on the web let alone in any official documents.
Frogboy mentioned in a recent post (can't find it now) that he was able to use culture as a decisive element critical to victory. I'de like to be able to do this too, but exploiting this mechanic requires an understanding of how it functions.
Would it be possible to get an official line about culture? I've found a whole lot of speculation and questionable information. I would love to hear directly fromt he devs how this unique mechanic actually operates, so that I can better integrate it into my play.
When two cultures collide, how is the result calculated? How precisely do capships affect the equation? What exactly does "culture spread rate" mean, and what do I get when I spend buckoo bucks to upgrade it?
Is this information already available somewhere? If so where? (i mean official documenation, not fan speculation)
Much thanks.
