I'm going to be making a map of the Star Wars Galaxy... I know there is one already, but I'm going to try to add more and set it up in one of two ways. But I am wondering how many stars is too much?
One way I am thinking of making the map would be by solar system. IE, Coruscant System has the star Coruscant Prime and nine planets in the system. Then you have to travel to another star, once you have those nine planets and whatever else I put in the system. this would easily get up to 100 stars without even trying to hunt for systems, and be 600-900 planets... I'm thinking that is way too much. No only cause the game would take forever, but I can't imagine a n average computer would be able to run that map (I could be wrong).
The other way, would be to make the map by sector. Each star would have 10-15 "systems" in the form of individual planets, asteroid belts, etc. So the sector with Coruscant would include something like Coruscant, Anaxes, Corulag, Carida, Alderran, Borelias, Bilbringi, and some other stuff...
Thoughts? Besides using Uzii's Sins Plus... I plan to use that already...
Thanks.
