Well, I was going to combine a few graphics packs along with Sins Plus, but seeing as they're getting ready to put out the next patch again - Not to mention the Devs saying 1.10 isn't far off - I'd just post some instructions on how to do it yourself. Further, I don't mean to steal anyone's thunder with their own Mods and races, but I like the game so far without any new major additions. All it really needed was more planets and a few graphical touches which I think have been provided, albeit separately. I only got an answer from -Uzii- to use his mod as a base and got no answer from the others so I will only show you how to do it and not do it for you (Sorry). So, here's what you'll have to do.
You'll need 3 Mods to be downloaded:
1 - Latest Version of Sins Plus (
https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/301574)
2 - Bailknight's Mod (
http://files.filefront.com/bailknight+graphicmod+v11zip/;9812943;/fileinfo.html)3 - Stars and Planets I by Max Tael (
http://files.filefront.com/Sins+Texture+Pack+I/;9639406;/fileinfo.html)
Once you have all three downloaded, go ahead and extract them all. You should have three separate mod folders.
Let's deal with Bailknight's mod first as I think it's easiest to fix up. Open his mod folder and copy the entire Particle directory. Paste this into the Sins Plus mod folder. It should not overwrite anything, instead it should create a whole new folder with all the particle effects from Bailknight's mod. There you go, particle effects done.
Now open up the Stars and Planets mod folder. This is a bit different. You should see only one folder named Textures, open this folder. Now, select everything except
Icons_planets.tga (this is very important). Copy everything, but that .tga file and paste it into Sins Plus/Textures. None of those files should overwrite.
There you have it. You have the particle effects from Bailknight, the core textures from Max Tael, and the enhancements from Sins Plus. Simply rename the Sins Plus folder to something new (I prefer Sins++ like a programming language). Be aware that everyone who wants to play online with this mod will need the same name, so I recommend posting what you might think is best for a general name on this method. I'll stick with Sins++ since it's far better than that of C++.
There you have it, enjoy the game.
And if anyone wants to make a better texture for the asteroids - Please by all means,
make it!
