[HELP] Mod doesn't work!!

Hey everybody = )
 I've modded a Gameinfo file to make certain things have to research req. but when I load the file with the ingame mod loader. BUT, when I switched the gameinfo folders with the modded one and it worked. I'm afraid however that using this I can't play multiplayer (LAN).

I'm confused about what you're asking

As far as multiplayer/LAN goes, everyone playing needs to have the same mod running, otherwise you won't be able to play together.

I don't quite understand your problem with it not working, though - it sounds like you tried to mod something and it didn't work, then you overwrote your mod folder with the default files and that got the mod to enable?

No in the C:\Program Files\Stardock\Sins..\Gameinfo was replaced instead of putting hte mod in the mod folder sorry for any confusion

Never, NEVER, replace files in your main directory without backing them up. If you have messed something in the main directory, you need to either; find it, or reinstall the whole game.

What Uzii said Mod selection is clean and easy for a reason - you can turn it on and off! Modifying the core files can't be turned off

Ok.....

I'm still confused as to what you need. When you made your mod, did you have all the GameInfo files in the mod folder? All 800-odd of them?

Yes I modded the gameinfo folder that came with the mod tool kit and changed some things such as research reqs. and size of bomber squadrons. When I put the folder into my mod folder and loaded it there was no change but when I replaced my actual gameinfo folder then it worked but I'm not sure if it will work like this on multiplayer
