Thanks for responding in many of these threads. Not many game developers/publishers take the time to do so, and those that do, often stop doing it after they get all the crap from people. It can be frustrating and burn you out because you will never please everyone. It should in some ways though show how much of a success the game is because people care so much about those changes.
Well, so this doesn't become a completely useless thread, like you said in another thread, I'll give a reasonable suggestion for the next patch. Cap ships. I was hoping that they would have gotten a boost in 1.03. I like thier price and thier power when you buy them. My only frustration is that they are such a force early game, a definate presence on the battlefield, but they quickly become less of an asset, and more of a micro nightmare late game. You guys put in this awesome feature of them being able to level up, and some neat abilities, but in late game they become less of a direct combat asset and more of an ability asset. My proposal is to leave them how they are currently when bought, but scale their hull and shield more as they level, as well as damage. I've played many games with battles on multiple fronts. I'd like to see the opponent worried when I bring in my lvl 7 cap ship. Take the Kol for instance, I really don't fear a lvl 7 Kol any more than a lvl 2 Kol when I have 30 frigates, a scattering of bombers and 10 heavy cruisers pounding on it. It just takes another 15 sec's or so to die. But in late game building a NEW cap ship should require some care in keeping it alive to reach that greater level and greater power.
Anways, thanks for listening.
