Game won't work - Please Help!

I tried playing the game this morning, when I double click the icon, the screen goes black then nothing happens until I end the program.

What should I do?

Q1 > Did it work well before this morning ?
Q2 > Have you patched the game to version 1.03 ?

Depending on how you will answer those two Qs, I might have other questions before I make suggestions.

1. I tried it two days ago and it worked fine
2. No, I was about to this morning but I can't get the update because the screen goes black before the menu comes up.

What now?

try updating via sdcentral, maybe that helps...

Hooray, it works now, that was odd. Anyway since I'm pretty much just starting are there any decent tutorials out there apart from the ones in the game?

im    for you : that the 1.03 update fixed your problem ...

i did the tutorials, and then, i learned how to play (more or less...) by starting a game with only one star, enemy comps on easy (locked teams!) + one allied comp on normal (same team in game set-up) ...

i hate tutorials : i prefer to jump in a skirmish ASAP ...
