First its not done yet, but it is getting much closer so I feel comfortable to start a preview topic. Anything in Green is done, anything white is on the bench, and red is something which may not be possible.
So whats this about? Some games/maps could be more fun if the resources are condensed to key points, some players like huge scale games but not huge maps, this can be done by adding more advanced homeworlds or just better general planets but Less of them. Thus with more planet types you can customize your maps more. Rather than make a special mod for a special map each time; I am trying to give players a comprehensive 'library' of planet types.
For example, I know some people who want bigger stars; this gives you that, not only that but a randomizer entry as well... and aside from that I made new stars with different special abilities too. So now you can begin producing much more varied randomizing maps.
Another example? Lets say you want a game where you have a fantastic homeworld with extra logistics, but crappy colony planets; use the 'Superior' homeworld and then use 'barren planets'. Barren Planets look like planets but act like asteroids! In addition we have homeworlds that can look like any planet, such as Ice or Desert, but act just like a proper homeworld should act. Want a map where everyone is role playing as pirates in a small asteroid belt system? I've made Pirate Base, Asteroid, and Structures as homeworlds too!
Furthermore Uzzii has been gravious enough to allow me to use his mod/planets from Sins Plus. While I am not going to be utilizing any changed technologies or trees, the Ocean, Forest, and Barren planet are already present.

Home Worlds:
Some games will benefit from having very few habitable planets, but accommodating this by providing high yield home worlds and those habitable planets can yield massive resources, thus consolidating the valuable points on any given map. Thus the advanced and superior homeworld types. Note that their will only be a visual difference between these planet types, as home worlds they will technically be counted as 'Terran'... The asteroid and pirate home worlds will be custom tailored for special maps.

Essentially these are asteroid planets that will use the regular planet model, they represent crappy planets for smaller skirmish games, but visually more impressive, consider them 'moonlets'.
