[Mod] Simple Halo MAC Gun (from the Halo games/books)

Gotta love Halo. =D

The mod works so I don't intend to update it, if anyone feels the need to expand upon it, feel free.  I just used the Novalith Cannon for the model, didn't fool around too much with turning speed or the projectile.  Also only made it for the TEC race heh.

Basically, in tier 5 you can research to gain access to the MAC (Mass Accelerator Cannon) Gun.  It definitely helps out with defense.  Does 200 damage with a cooldown of 8 secs.  Costs 12 tactical points. Also the range is about 2.5x that of the Gauss cannon.  If built at the edge of the planets build circle it will just fall short of enemies that jump in and it covers all the way to the planet.

Installation Instructions
-All you have to do is extract my folder to your mods folder.  Your mods folder should be located here: C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods

I guess I could take one, but Like I said, it just uses the TEC Novalith Cannon model. I can get a screenshot up once I get home from work heh.

Yeah, its a long dead mod. Nerotoxin's Halo style mod does the same thing though, go ask him about it.

The  MAC works in the same way ass the guass platforums.  It uses 23 super conductive coils to shoot a round ranging from 600 metric ton round at 30,000ms from a capital ship.

The super macs in prnit fire a 3000 metric ton round at 40% the speed of light.  In the fall of reach it was able to not only priece the shields of a have covenaut cruiser but pass throught it and hit another target.
