Inquiry: is it possible to make fighters/bombers stay docked and only launch when enemies are detected?

Just curious if this is possible, since I find it kind of irritating to have hangar defense and  carriers always deploy their entire fighter/bomber complement even when there's no enemies around. (I know I can dock and launch them manually, but having them dock and launch automatically if I want would be so much  better)

That's an interesting idea. I only quickly glanced at the strike craft files, but nothing jumped out as a flag for stay docked on build. Will take a look when I get off work if nobody else gives you a concrete answer by then

Talk about losing a thread! I think wishful thinking Other than ability autocasts there's no ship behaviors that we can modify

I would like them to stay docked until flak is taken care of...Its a manual thing but I don't like manual things. It would be cool as the last flat frig is blowing up, your wave of bombers or fighters automatically launches

brings a problem on its own

there are ocasions i do want to launch my squads even with flaks


best way 2 do this is manual.... its hard 2 automate cuase everyone uses it different ways

tough i do admit that the autolaunch on build = annoying, with pirates the falks stay close to my capital and then shoot down the fighter when it comes out...... rly annoyin cuase it takes alot of antimatter 2 keep rebuilding em

I would love this mod. It bugs me how they just stay in space rather than docking.
