Isn't there enough Star Wreck threads. Why did you create another one?

Here's an idea. If we can get enough people to play the Star Trek mod then that will take more players away from the online game and we can wreck the multiplayer experience, hence the term Star Wreck.

I don't see anything wrong with the actual game that you have to go and change things up. I might try your mod in 3 years, but first I'm going to have some fun with the actual game.

Seriously..and i think your way off on it messing up online play, there can't anything wrong with having more races/ships to pick from

I hope tho that each mod adding race/ships/tech can be installed into the game, not just as a 'mod'...that way you can play said race with game as is OR with your favorite mod

For a start... I never used the word MOD. I love the game as it is, Races, Units, everything. I HATE Star Trek and Star Wars... I would just love to see a MAP that big and that detailed.

My 2 cents: that looks like an awfully large map, but it would be cool to see a themed, named map to represent the Star Trek universe. A pre-Cylon war BSG map would be neat too.

Well, I hope you learn to read a bit better. His unedited title was "Is anyone making this map", so you still misread.

He also posted in this section because, whether you've realised or not, there is no 'Mapping' section. And there have been plenty of posts to do with mapping, nearly as many as modding.

To the OP, a very large undertaking, but if you could pull it off, then it would be nice. I like El-Tea's idea of a BSG Pre-Cylon map, that would be very interesting to play on, especially when the BSG mod is released.

Just had a quick chat with my friend - we're gona start work on a SECTION of the map (not the entire thing) to start with, see how we get on.

I would just like to see the planets and stars in their correct positions with their correct names. I'm not TOO worried about using an actual Star Trek mod or anything, like I said in a previous post, im not too bigga fan of Star Trek.

However, I am a fan of Battlestar. If anyone knows of any MAPS or MODS for Battlestar, let me know!

For a 33 year old (if thats your real age), you seem to be very full of yourself, almost as though the world owes you a favour, or should show you huge amounts of respect. I've seen the MAGOG clan on the WiC forums and the game, correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you the largest clan or something?

And one more thing, since one week prior to release I haven't seen a single argument(disapproving comments being thrown around) in the Modding section. Now you suddenly turn up, with somewhat of a wrong attitude, and it kicks off. Coincidence?

Has it occured to you that you're simply off-topic in this thread? It's about creating a map, using the tools provided by, shockingly, the developers themselves.

Or that the people modding the game have been in the betatest and played the game for a year already?

Or that maybe, just maybe, the developers had a reason to release the first modding tools more or less on release day? Obviously you are new to Stardock published games, as GalCiv2 and SoaSE are designed specifically to be modded. And your assumption that these mod tools are created only to increase sales, well, that is actually the insult.
