well ive got it all done my research/abilities mod both these are in the mods folder
version .1 ----(tech folder)----- what i did was doubled all the costs (left the research time alone) and then i went thru and doubled all the variables found in the research stuff they are exactly the same accross all races as i dont believe in giving one race an advantage in research
version .2 ----(included in the buffs folder)---- i also had the time tonight to run thru and modify the variables for the buffs (these numbers range from simply adding a 1/4th to all effects and costs on recharge times and antimatter usage) frankly some abilities dont lend themselves well to just doing this so i simply added a .1 or in some of cases with high lvl abilities i added nothing (whats the sense in going over 100%)
i know alot of players wont enjoy this but im looking for some contructive criticism here im not looking for uber you can do that yourself if you wish
i am looking to extend the tech tree which while i feel its excellent its also very very lacking (i like long research but i like higher bonuses for long research LOL)
ill work further on this tommorow when i get some time but again my main concern isnt ships or doing ship designs i like to mess with the tech trees! think ive even figured out how to add extra techs in but thats probably pretty easy to figure out
PS I HAVENT TESTED THE ABILITIES !!! (and the reason i separated the tech from the buffs into separate folders)
PPS I know the tech tree works fine though cause as im typing im playing a game with it (very hard to up my tech lol!) if ya wanna check out what i did outta game unzip and open the research abilities
