Wait isn't an ISD 1,600 meters and a "Star Cruiser" only 1,200 meters? And I do mean the ones like Home One, not the ones like the Liberty (the winged one, which is either smaller than Home One or the same size). I've never anything hinting that Home One is bigger than an ISD other than Forces of Corruption, but Home One was smaller in the regular EaW (IDK why).

The only Mon Calamari ship that I can think of that would be bigger than a ISD would be a Viscount-class. But hey, either way the mod is still going to be sweet!

all mon calimari cruisers up to the MC-90 series are unique, direct scaling puts the Home One at between 3.2 - 4.8 km, the Liberty really should be 1500m, the 1.2km was stated and repeated just like the SSD length of 8km, it doesn't hold up compared to the variety of sizes shown in the movies

as for future work. some bug fixes and rebel ships are on the plan.

Tried out the mod recently - a few comments. Played Imperial vs Imperial
1) I had my Acclamator fighting the AI one (Think it was this - the colony one). They were hardly taking down each other's shields. I then brought in my Imp Deuce - zoom away for 4-5 seconds to do something else and then the AI ship was gone - so not sure how good the balancing is since the Acclamators did nothing to each other, but ISD II nukes one in no time.
2) Fighters (Ties) seem to fly though caps
3) Hard to find ships in the grav well as the mode changes to galaxy view before I can see the icon for all ships in the grav well

Anyway, my 2c. I've been following the thread for ages now, so I'll grab a newer version in a bit and see what has been improved/added etc...

Eville you must be a Saxtonite. This explains why you call it a Imperator instead of a Imperial class Star Destroyer, and all I can say to that is thank God your the one doing this mod.

is anyone else getting black ship syndrome with the lancer frigate, strike cruiser. and the capital ship on the far right?

well those ships and the new structures have the black ship syndrome so . . . ya

West end games stated the 1200m number a long time ago for the role playing game, they also stated the 8000m number for the SSD, it was repeated ad nauseum in other references and finally corrected a few years later. I am of the opinion that each Mon Cal vessel is unique and that the 1200m number is an average of the distribution of the vessels (some could be 900m, some 3 km) the wingless cruiser is about 8% shorter than the winged cruiser because of reconfigurations of its fantail in the model, but actually masses more because of the bulkier side globes that were placed instead of the wings. EAW is an utterly abysmal reference because they don't scale ANYTHING correctly (with the possible exception of FOC's SSD I can't remember if that was the right multiple of ISDs) look at the size of a corvette or compare the concept art of a tartan and broadside or AFMKII to the in game models and the 'lengths' they give, honestly the AF MKII must have view ports the size of catherdral windows or be crewed by storm giants. also the ROTJ fleet scenes were not adjusted, go back to the betamax versions and they will all be the same, the only change was the escape from the DSII where they added ships to better fit the novelization. (and an awful camera pull zoom to show 'acceleration')

As for blackship syndrome, are any other ships causing it? and what is your video card and system memory sizes?

As for supporting the Saxon side of the argument I have a few very specific differences, but in general fully support a broader and more impressive SW galaxy.

I did read that but the fact that they're basing the size of it off the interior scene of the hangar seems to be taking this whole thing too far. I really don't think Lucas or any other people who made the movie really thought to scale the hangar bay to what they thought would be the actual size of the ship. I think the size of the bay is merely ascetic and used to make the movie.

Now the part where the talk about the ILM models I completely agree with. They probably used the same scale for the ships because they were in the same frame of the star destroyers, and using a different scale would make no sense.



So that puts it at about 100m less than an ISD. I agree with that for the winged Cruiser (or smaller than that), and I do agree that Home One is bigger than an ISD, but not what they give based of the hangar scene. They give it at 3-4km, which is 1.8 - 2.5 times larger than an ISD. I don't think its more than 2. I also agree with some theories that every Mon Calamari Cruiser is different in length.

Also, using the X-Wing in the lower left of the hangar bay, the width of it would only be 60-70m, not the size of a Corellian corvette as they claim. Based on that, Home One would be around 1900m, which seems much more accurate.

Does it really matter? After all EvilleJedi did say this was more or less like a beta. In the end of it all, EvilleJedi makes the choices and so far i like wat hes done. It is by far better than playing eaw when comparing to game play ,graphics, etc. Congrats EvilleJedi and i can't wait for the next installment of your ground braking mod.

I believe this has to do with the Sins engine. I don't know, we'll have to wait for EvilleJedi.
